Rocky Plains Elementary now has school-wide Title 1 status. This federal program provides extra funds that can be used for materials and personnel to meet the needs of all of our students.

Early Intervention Program (EIP) Purpose...

Children start school at a designated chronological age, but differ greatly in their individual development and experience base. The Early Intervention Program (EIP) is designed to serve students who are at risk of not reaching or maintaining academic grade level. The purpose of the Early Intervention Program is to provide additional instructional resources to help students who are performing below grade level obtain the necessary academic skills to reach grade level performance in the shortest possible time.

At Rocky Plains, we are currently providing extra assistance to all K through 5th grade students who are not meeting standards in math or reading as measured by the state Criterion-Referenced Competency Test ( CRCT) administered each year in the spring. Test scores are sent to parents each year and are also available here at Rocky Plains.
