The Newton County Schools Work-Based Learning Programs at Alcovy, Eastside, NCCA and Newton High are currently accepting applications for the 2016-2017 school year.  A link to the application is posted on the Newton College & Career Academy website under the Work-Based Learning tab. The link is also posted at the bottom of this announcement. 

To enroll in Work-Based Learning, students must be a rising junior or senior, have good  attendance, have a minimum GPA of 80 and good discipline history.  Students must have reliable transportation. Work-Based Learning students will learn important employability skills throughout the school year such as work ethic, professionalism on the job and networking. Students in Work-Based Learning receive CTAE elective credit upon acceptable completion of the program.

Students interested in applying should apply online at the Newton College & Career Academy website or contact the Work-Based Learning Coordinator at their school. Students interested in interning at Piedmont Newton Hospital in the fall must complete the Piedmont Newton Hospital Junior Volunteer Program this summer.
