Newton County School System will host a PROBE College Fair at Alcovy High School on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the school commons area. All Newton County School System high school students are invited to attend.

PROBE is the organized college fair tour that attracts representatives from non-profit educational institutions to shopping malls, civic centers, and high schools throughout the state of Georgia. Approximately 70 colleges and technical colleges will be represented at this year’s Newton County PROBE Fair.

During the PROBE fair, students and parents will have the opportunity to speak with college representatives on topics such as financial aid, housing, programs of study, admissions requirements, scholarships, and campus life.

Students may register before attending but registration is NOT required to attend the PROBE College Fair. Students can visit the website http://www.gotocollegefairs.com and click “register now.” Click the state of Georgia located on the U.S. map, scroll down and select “Georgia Probe 9/4/13 Wednesday September 4, 2013 5:30 -7:30 pm Alcovy High School.”  Click the gold, “register now” button and fill in the requested information on the Student Profile page. Everything with an asterisk must be completed then click submit to print an admittance pass.

“We encourage high school parents and students to attend the PROBE College Fair,” said Timica Parker, Lead Counselor for Alcovy High School. “This is an excellent opportunity for students and parents to see the many options available to them in terms of colleges, programs of study, and financial aid.”
