Pre-Kindergarten Program
The PreK lottery funded program for the Newton County Schools offers services at each elementary school to 480 four-year-old children system-wide. The curriculum offered recognizes the play needs of four-year-olds and uses it as the basis of the planned learning experiences. Daily planning assures that each child has the opportunity to acquire new knowledge as well as broaden present knowledge. Classes staffed by a teacher and a paraprofessional offer full-day instruction and follow the regular school calendar.
