Abigail Coggin was elected in November of 2010 to serve as the District 5 representative on the Newton County School Board. She is a life-long resident of Newton County and graduated from Newton County High School in 1992. She continued her education by graduating from Oxford College and Emory University with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science.

She currently still serves in this part-time position where she works closely with the Newton County Schools’ Fine Art teachers.
