Mrs. Dobbs began her first term on the Board of Education in January 2003.

A native of Nashville, Tennessee Mrs. Dobbs attended the University of Tennessee in Nashville and Austin Peay State University in Clarkesville before moving to Newton County in 1987.

Mrs. Dobbs is a real estate sales associate with Coldwell Banker Gerri Murphy Realty in Covington. She has been an active volunteer in the Newton County School System for many years and has served as both a board member and President of the Fairview Elementary School PTO and prior to her election, served on the Clements Middle School Council. In addition, she actively supports the Boy Scouts of America program.

Mrs. Dobbs and her husband, Denny Dobbs, reside in the Almon area with their three sons: Bryan, Luke, and Lane.
