BOARD MEMBER REMOVAL FROM OFFICE

Board Member Removal from Office (ABCF)

Elected school board members are subject to recall.

School districts which are found by the State Board to be non-standard or to operate one or more schools which are non-standard are required to submit a corrective plan to address the deficiencies, and if the State Board finds the district is not making satisfactory progress, it can file suit in the Supreme Court seeking removal of school board members.
