EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR
Date: JANUARY 4, 1999

Newton County Board of Education may provide for the operation of its public schools for a period longer than the 180 days required by law.

Extensions of school year term by the Board of Education shall not conflict with the operation of any summer school program or year-round school program implemented by the State Board of Education.
