BOARD MEETINGS - ANNUAL
Date: JANUARY 4, 1999

The annual meeting of the Newton County Board of Education shall be the first regular meeting in any calendar year and shall be held in January.

In addition to regular business transacted at this meeting, the following matter shall be decided at this annual meeting:

1. Establishment of the time, date, and place of regular monthly meetings for the year.

2. Establishment of the time, date, and place of regular work sessions for the year.

3. Election of the chairperson and vice-chairperson.

The oath of office shall be administered to newly elected and re-elected members at the work session prior to the annual meeting.

The election of officers shall be the last item of new business on the agenda of the annual meeting and such officers shall assume duties immediately upon adjournment of such meeting.
