BUDGET PLANNING -- STAFF INVOLVEMENT

The budget for the Newton County School District is developed by means of compiling budgetary requests from all functioning components of the total organization. Budget requests from all components should be prioritized, and decisions regarding priorities recommended by the administrator of the unit.

Any local school project; parent organization project; or booster organization project which requires funds to be appropriated by the Board of Education should be submitted to the Principal in writing during the budget preparation process. School, parent, and booster organizations must submit their requests for funding to the school principal for review. Requests which are approved by the principal shall be submitted to the Superintendent for presentation to the Board of Education.
