Strategic Plan
During the 2006-2007 school year planning meetings were held to define the district's improvement plan. The district's Mission Statement, Beliefs and Goals were reviewed and refined. A former strategic plan was updated by the staff who added performance requirements of the "No Child Left Behind" Act, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the new Georgia School Standards. The plan was designed to be a continuous improvement document to be used over the next few years through the implementation of various strategies and activities as a means of reaching the desired outcomes. In subsequent planning meetings the document was reviewed and proposed additional enhancements were considered.
Topics proposed as suggestions or enhancements were included as "study/planning/training" items and will be addressed during the 2007-2008 school year as outlined in the plan.
