Mr. Scott Sauls
Mr. Scott Sauls Mr. Scott Sauls was born and raised in Monticello, Georgia. He is the son of Margie and Horace Roland and the late Ted Sauls. His wife, Teresa, serves as the Assistant Principal at Clements Theme School. Mr. Sauls has four children: Mallory, 16, Madison, 12, Caleb, 10, and Cade, 7, all students in the Newton County School System. He graduated from Jasper County Comprehensive High School in 1985, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in middle grades education in 1989 from Georgia College. He also obtained his Master's degree in education in the area of administration and supervision in 1994 and the Specialist in Education degree in administration in 1999. Mr. Sauls is in his twentieth year in the education field. He began his teaching career in 1990, when he taught sixth grade Math and Language Arts for four years in Butts County. He was named the Assistant Principal at Jasper County Middle School in 1994, and worked for four years there before being named Principal at Lamar County Elementary School in 1998. Mr. Sauls was named Principal at West Newton in the summer of 2001 and became Cousins' Principal in the summer of 2005. Mr. Sauls is a member of the Professional Association of Georgia Educators.
Mr. Sauls and his family are members of
the First Baptist Church of Covington and he enjoys spending time with
his family, participating in backyard sports, working in the yard, and
watching his favorite television program, "The Andy Griffith Show." "I enjoy working with children and can only hope that my efforts work cooperatively with the other members of our staff to educate the students of Cousins Middle School. I appreciate the fact that this community believes in its young people, and that the parents and community are committed to a quality education."
