As we strive to be leaders in educational technology, we begin by preparing our teachers to be visionaries in the classroom, which in turn make our students innovative college students and employees of Newton County.
Annually we host the "Teach for Tomorrow" Summer Technology Conference. This conference has grown from 125 participants the first year to over 500 participants last year!
This is an exciting hands-on, interactive conference with a plethora of resources for all attendees. We offer sessions especially for teachers, administrators, media specialists, paraprofessionals, and other educational staff. The day begins with a Keynote Address followed by one-hour breakout sessions and two-hour workshops on a variety of topics running simultaneously throughout the day. We will also have an open vendor hall in which local businesses will have the opportunity to showcase all that Newton County has to offer.
Registration is free for all Newton County School System employees. We welcome outside attendance for a small fee of $25.00. Lunch will be provided to allow time for collaboration among peers. This is a fantastic conference that you will not want to miss!
We rely on community support to make this event possible each year. Community and Vendor sponsorship pays for lunch and refreshments throughout the conference. Having vendors/sponsors is important--it is impacting our teachers and creating innovative future Newton County employees. If you are interested in sponsoring this awesome event please contact Jennifer Williams.
