Greetings!

ENES has been a hive of activity despite all of the snow days this semester! Our staff and students are working diligently to continue our quest to meet and exceed the standards for each grade level!

The year has been packed with so many events. Our fourth and fifth graders read many, many books and competed in the system-sponsored Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl in January. Students also participated in the Hoop Shoot Contest. Additionally, our outstanding PTO worked very hard to put together a day of learning about Australia for students.  February was spilling over with events! Several of our students took part in the Spelling Bee and Literacy Days at the school level and the county level. We held our first ever Daddy Daughter Dance, and it was an overwhelming success! Conference Week was also a part of our February calendar, and thanks to our awesome parents, we had a great number of parent-teacher conferences. Again, our spectacular PTO held a Book Fair and PreKindergarten registration was held that week. To end the month, we celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday for a week! March has been pretty busy, too! Our Honor Chorus worked with other students in the county learning important musical skills and presented an impressive concert for family members one Saturday in March. The students participated in Jump Rope for Heart, and our fifth grade students took part in the Georgia Writing Assessment in March.

One of the biggest events of the year will be held on Friday, March 21st when PTO sponsors Pizza Bingo Night! It is one of the favorite events of the year!

Please make sure your students are at school! If they aren’t here, they miss out on so many learning opportunities that can never be made up!

Thank you for everything you do to help ensure the success of our students.

Regards,

Kim Coady, Principal
