While all E.H.S. students are encouraged to read and complete activities off of the Newton County School System Summer Reading List, Advanced Placement, Quest, and Advanced level English classes require the following:

*Students entered in Advanced, Quest, or AP English classes must complete the Summer Reading activities and turn them in to their English teacher upon their arrival for the first class session. Students not turning in their activities on the first day of class (1st or 2nd semester) will receive “0” for the assignment.
Students not registered for Advanced, Quest, or AP English
classes may complete the county packet for an extra credit test grade.
