Ms. Keil loves being the music teacher at Newton County Theme school!   She has been with the theme school since it opened in the fall of 2009.  Her teaching career began, however in 2003 at Fairview Elementary where she taught music until 2006.  When her daughter and son were born she stayed home with them for a few years and then did some long-term music subbing at Palmer Stone and Rocky Plains Elementary Schools in 2009.

She studied voice at Georgia College and State University and graduated with Bachelor of Music in 1999.  In 2002 she completed her second bachelors degree in Music Education.  This past May she finished her Masters degree in Music Education all at Georgia College and State University.

In her spare time she enjoys boating, hiking, fishing as well as sewing and baking.  She is active in her church singing in choir and on the praise team, leading the children’s choir and leading music for Vacation Bible School each summer.  Her daughter, Emma is in first grade at Newton County Theme School and her son Luke will be in Kindergarten here next year.
