Local residents are encouraged to turn on the television this Thursday as four Newton County School System (NCSS) students will be marching in the Macy’s 2017 Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City! The parade will be broadcast live on NBC at 9:00 a.m. Watch closely and you may see NCSS students Joseph Bickel (Eastside), Jonathan Sugg (Eastside), Austin Huffman (Eastside and NCCA STEM Institute), and Brittany Allen (Alcovy and NCCA STEM Institute) performing. Each successfully auditioned and were selected to march in The Macy's Great American Marching Band!
