From the Principal

Indian Creek Middle School was established in 1997 as a part of the Newton County School System. ICMS is located in the city of Covington, Georgia, an eastern metropolitan area of Atlanta. The faculty and staff at Indian Creek Middle School dedicates itself to the success of all students. As we bridge the gap between elementary and high school, we have the important task of keeping each student academically successful. We will not forget that the school belongs to our community and its citizens. Therefore, we want all our parents and students to feel ownership. It is our pledge to you that we will emphasize academics, safety, and moral character. We need every home in the community to join with us in this endeavor!

The survey will close Tuesday, February, 27, 2018. Thank you for your help!

National Testing at ICMS

Indian Creek has been selected to participate in NAEP (National Assessment of Educational Progress) testing this year. This national test gathers information that compares US students to students around the world. Students are randomly selected to participate, and not all students will be selected. Learn more here about NAEP, and learn about NAEP at ICMS here. ICMS will participate in NAEP testing February 27th.

We're Reading!

Newton County is reading, and so are we! Learn more about the NCSS Reading Campaign here. At Indian Creek, we're recognizing and celebrating our reading success with badges. As students read, they earn badges for their reading. Reading success is different for all students, and our badges are designed to recognize the power of reading, especially pleasure reading. As we roll out our badge program, be sure to ask your child what badge he or she is working towards! See our badges and learn more here.

Microsoft Office for Students

Using the Email/Office 365 link at the top of the page, all students and staff have online access to Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Simply login with a county assigned email address. Student email addresses are the NCSS username (last name, first initial, middle initial, MMDD of birth) (ex: Passwords are whatever the student has set his/her password to be. Want more?
