Parents, please donate gently used children's books this week. Books for children and young adults will be collected the week of March 2-6 to be redistributed at the Newton County Education Summit March 14th. Books can be dropped off in the front office, and students will receive Panther Promise tickets for the donation. Newton County School System wants to ensure reading material in every student's home.
Georgia Milestones Test
The CRCT will no longer be administered to students. Instead, your student will now take the Georgia Milestones test each year. The test is very different from the CRCT. Learn in-depth about the test here and then read a parent's guide to the test.
Testing will be moving online. Does your student need to improve his or her typing skills? Try Typing Web, Free Typing, Good Typing, and Sense-Lang for typing practice.
You can now begin ordering your yearbook. The cost is $37. Call 1-866-287-3096 or click here to order. The school order number is 15503. Contact Vicki Meeler with questions.
