Mrs. Hawkins grew
up in Newton County, graduating from Newton High School.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation, as well
as her Master of Education in Physical Education from Georgia
Southwestern College and State University. She completed
her Educational Leadership degree at Georgia College and State
University and Piedmont College. She has Early Childhood
certification as well. She
has worked for NCSS since 1985 at various schools; Porterdale
ES, Palmer Stone ES, Fiquett ES, Newton High, Middle Ridge ES,
and Livingston. She also taught previously at Georgia
Southwestern College and State University.
Mrs. Hawkins is married and has
two sons. She enjoys spending time with family and
friends, singing and sports. She is a highly motivated,
personable and innovative leader with strong interpersonal
skills, values and strong beliefs in education and people.
