Mrs. Gail Bemis

I grew up in Tifton, Georgia and attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.  There I received my ASEd in Elementary Education.  I transferred to the University of Georgia and earned by BSEd in Early Childhood Education.  After teaching for a couple of years, I received my MSEd from Georgia State University.

This is my 31st year of teaching.  My first year was spent in Fitzgerald, Georgia where I taught third grade.  The rest have been here in Newton County.  I taught second grade at East Newton Elementary, second grade at West Newton Elementary and third grade here at Livingston.

In my free time I like to read, paint, make soup and create crafts.  I am learning to use a variety of power tools so I can build things from wood.  During the summers I go on mission trips with Bold Mission Builders where I work with an electrician wiring new church buildings.

I have been married for 23 years to my husband Jeff.  We have two boys, Daniel 20 and Matthew 17.
