Heard Mixon Elementary

School Community Heard-Mixon was established at the turn of the century as a first through twelfth grade school. The school, which now serves pre-kindergarten through fifth grades, was completely renovated and enlarged in 1988. Six classrooms were added in 1993. A wing consisting of six classrooms, a music room, an art room, a computer lab, and a room to provide speech services was added in 1997.
