  • Attention Students and Parents of Juniors and Seniors - Junior Dues are still being collected!!! Dues will continue to be collected through March 16, 2012.  Students may pay junior dues to Ms. Mitchell in room 112 or Ms. Bledsoe in room 66.  Collection day in the Mall Commons TBA.

  • Newton College and Career Academy - if you would like more info on going to the NCCA and register for classes, please stop by the guidance office.

  • Psychology Club will hold its meeting on Feb 7th in room 49.

  • JV and varsity softball players need to stop by room 66 to get info about the softball banquet.

  • Newton Medical Center Volunteer Teen Program - for more info see your counselor.

  • French Club  will meet on Feb. 6, 2012

  • Beta Club is selling Valentine's during lunch until Feb 3, 2012

  • FBLA will hold their next meeting on Feb 2, 2012 at 7:45am in room 108.

  • Black History Month Play - "Mama Gotta Brand New Bag" written and directed by NHS students, will be held on Feb 3rd. General admission is $5, $3 with a student ID. Doors will open at 6:30pm.

  • National Honor students - need to check Edmoto daily. The deadline to respond with shirt sizes via direct note is Friday, Feb 3, 2012

  • NHS FBLA is providing free tax service as a community service for any family whose total income is $49,000 or less between January 24th and February 16th.  Available hours are Tuesday and Thursday, 4:00pm to 7:00pm and Saturday mornings from 8:00am to 12:00pm.  The service is available in Room 9 at Newton High School.

  • Up to Us Community Service Club - is having a Jeans for Teens, jeans drive. Donate your lightly used jeans to Mr. Patel in room 96. The winning school will receive $5000.00 and a new pair of Aeropostale jeans for every student and a school wide party. Do your part to help someone else.

  • Step Off - if you are interested in participating in the class level step off, you need to sign up with Mr. Jones in room 17. The event will take place on 2-17-12 as part of the Black History Month celebration.

  • Work Based Learning - if you are interested in this class please see Mrs. Brand in room 15 for more info.

  • Scholarship offers - See Dr. Breakfield for more info. Also, turn in all acceptance letters to her.

  • Mid-Winter Break - Feb.20th - 24th. Students will return on Feb 27th.

  • Personal checks - effective 10/24/2011 personal checks are no longer accepted for any senior payments (i.e. dues, outstanding fines, trips). Please make payment(s) in the form of cash, bank checks or money orders.
