Fall Holidays - Oct. 3rd and Oct. 6th-10th. Students return to school on Oct. 13th.

students that have completed a reimbursement form for their Ram Rewards Card may see Mrs. Raymo in the front office for their check - wither before school, during lunch or after school. Do NOT come during or in between classes.

Rammettes dance team - there will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 14th at 3:35 in the cafeteria. You may pick up an informational packet from ms. Hull in room 42. Try-outs will be Oct 20th at 3:40 - 6:00pm.

College Connection newsletter is now ready for you to pick up.

Basketball teams - any boys interested in going out for the 9th grade, JV or Varsity teams are reminded that they MUST have an updated physical on file with Mr. Curtis by Oct 17th in order to participate. Conditioning starts Oct 20th. See Coach Rasmussen in room 101a if you have any questions.

Scholarships - if you are interested in applying for a $500 scholarship and the 2009 Washington Youth Tour (for Juniors and Sophomores only) sponsored by Snapping Shoals, SAE Engineering, South Atlanta Debutante Cotillion, and Ron Brown's Scholarship for African American students please see Dr. Lawyer. All senior students may apply for the J.E. Robinson and All -Around Student scholarships sponsor.

Seniors - the time has come to order cap and gowns, graduation announcements and other accessories. The Josten's rep will be here to take your orders on Wed., Oct 1st for students whose names begin with A-L and Oct 2nd for students whose name begins with M-Z in the gym lobby. Bring $80 cash, check or money order made payable to Jostens.

Yearbooks - this is the last week to purchase yearbooks for the reduced price of $60. The price goes up after fall break. Come by room 58 before or after school or room 117a during your lunch to purchase your yearbook.

PSAT will be administered Oct. 15th. Sophomores and Freshman will register 9-25 and 9-26. The cost for freshmen is $16 while the test is free for sophomores. Bring cash, check or money order to Mrs. Brown in the students services center.

Guitar Hero tournament sign-ups have been extended, and the entrance fee has been reduced to $5. If you'd like to sign up, please see Mrs. Johnson in room 80. Participants who have already paid can see Mrs. Johnson for a refund.

T-shirts - senior shirts are now available for only $15. They are black with neon letters and will read "One Love. One Class" on the front and the back will say Seniors 2009 Newton High School. See Mrs. Buff in room 44 to orders yours. The deadline is Oct. 2.
