Ways to Help Your Child Prepare for the CRCT

1. Go to the Online Website (GaCRCT Test Info) and take the Practice CRCT Test.
2. Read with your child nightly.
3. Check and sign agendas nightly.
4. Check and go over homework nightly.
5. Review addition, subtraction, multiplication facts.
6. Expose your child to a variety of text. Examples include newspapers, magazines, travel brochures & menus.
7. Complete Online Educational games.
8. Review what they have learned for the day
9. Review graded papers when sent home.

The website allows students to become familiar with the test format, the vocabulary used on the test and the length of the reading selections. We recommend that parents take a practice test as well sot hat you will have a sense of what we are asking your child to do.

Testing Strategies Every Student Should Use

1. Read the entire test.
2. Think about what the question is asking you.
3. Read over ALL the answers.
4. Look back in the selection.
5. Eliminate wrong answers.
6. Make your selection.
7. If you have no idea, make a guess and come back to it later.
8. Go back and check your work when finished.

10. Stay calm, think positive.
