Elementary Summer School

Newton County will offer a  Summer School Instructional Extension Program as outlined above to all third and fifth graders in the county that scored LEVEL 1 on the CRCT. This program will focus on the CRCT Reading and Math Georgia Performance Standards. If a child does NOT MEET standards on the Reading section of the CRCT in third grade or on the  Reading and/or Math section(s) in fifth grade, the child will be expected to report to Summer School and will be given the opportunity to retake the CRCT on Wednesday and/or Thursday June 24-25, 2008. Failure to pass the CRCT may result in retention in grades three or five.
