Vice Principal
Alison Jackson

Mrs.
Jackson is a product of the Newton County School System.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from
Hampton University. Upon her return to Georgia, she
started her tenure at Mercer University becoming a
Certified Teacher in Middle Grades Education,
specializing in math and social studies. Soon after
receiving her certification, she matriculated at Brenau
University earning a Masters in Middle Grades Education,
math and science.
In
2002, she felt the new calling of administration.
Although her tenure in the classroom was wonderful, she
needed to expand her knowledge and mindset. She attended
Georgia College and State University to add-on
Educational Leadership and received her Specialist in
Educational Leadership as well. Currently, Mrs. Jackson
is working on her doctorate at Walden University in
Administrator Leadership for Teaching and Learning.
Mrs.
Jackson feels that education is a calling. “It is a
challenging, rewarding mission that stirs deep devotion
and unshakable faith. She believes students are our
greatest asset. Yet, inspiring educators are the hands
that create the masterpiece. As an educational leader,
it is her quest to motivate teachers to improve student
growth in and out of the classroom. Not only is a mind a
terrible thing to waste, but opportunities are as well.
Mrs.
Jackson is a married mother of two teenagers, Marcus and
Jazmyn. She lives in Covington with her children and
husband Matthew.
