NCS Requests Stakeholder Feedback on Elementary English Language Arts Textbook Adoption
The NCS Elementary Curriculum & Instruction department is reviewing instructional materials for an upcoming elementary English Language Arts (ELA) textbook adoption and would like our stakeholders' input. Stakeholders may visit the links below to review materials from publishers under consideration - Benchmark Advance, HMH: Into Reading, and Savvas: myView Literacy. Stakeholders may also review materials from these publishers at the Newton County Schools Board Office and all elementary schools during regular business hours.
After reviewing the English Language Arts (ELA) instructional materials, the NCS Elementary Curriculum & Instruction department asks parents, guardians, and teachers to complete a survey at the designated link below.
Contact Dr. Lisa Hockaday, Elementary ELA Curriculum & Instruction Specialist, at
[email protected] if you have any questions or concerns regarding adopting the new elementary textbook.
Please note the survey opens on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 8:00 AM and closes at 11:59 PM on Friday, May 31, 2024.
Parents, teachers, and other stakeholders and teachers may access the survey by using the links below:
