Newton County Schools to Host 2025 Career Fair for Teachers and Paraprofessionals
Are you passionate about teaching? Do you hold a teaching degree and are you eager for an exciting new career opportunity? Look no further!
Newton County Schools (NCS) invites you to join us at our upcoming Career Fair on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Eastside High School, located at 140 Georgia Highway 142, Covington.
From 9 AM to 12 noon, our NCS school administrators will be onsite, conducting interviews and hiring dynamic educators for the 2025-2026 school year. Whether you specialize in elementary or secondary education, we have rewarding teaching and paraprofessional positions available just for you.
Nyree Sanders, Chief Human Resources Officer for Newton County Schools, shares, “We are excited to announce teaching opportunities at both elementary and secondary levels. To sweeten the deal, we are offering a $1,000 signing incentive to eligible teachers who join our team. This incentive will be granted upon commencing employment with NCS in August.”

To be considered for on-the-spot hiring, please complete an application via the teacher or paraprofessional pool on the NCS website. Be sure to gather essential documents for the online application, including your current resume, college transcripts, test scores, exemption scores for GACE program assessments (if applicable), and teaching certificate or certificate of eligibility (if applicable). We extend a warm invitation to prospective applicants still in school, with graduation on the horizon.
Please note, to be considered for a position with NCS for the 2025-2026 school year, applicants must not be under contract with any other school district for the upcoming school year.
Nyree Sanders emphasizes, “We anticipate hiring between 200 and 250 teachers for the upcoming school year. Positions are available in special education, elementary education at all grade levels, and middle and high school for language arts, social studies, math, and science. Additionally, we are looking for talented Spanish, art, and music teachers to join our team.”
