Parent Connect Live

Newton County Schools invites families, educators, and community members to Parent Connect Live! on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Newton County STEAM Academy. The free districtwide event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and offers interactive sessions, vendor exhibits, and family engagement resources designed to strengthen connections between home and school.

The morning will feature a keynote address at 9:00 a.m. by Mrs. Shakila Henderson-Baker, Vice-Chair of the Newton County Board of Education (District 3). Participants can explore sessions on digital learning, literacy, and student wellness while connecting with local vendors and community organizations. Giveaways and family-friendly activities will add to the excitement.

“Parent Connect Live! is about building meaningful relationships and giving families the tools to help students thrive,” said Dr. Jennifer Williams, Director of Instructional Technology & Media Services. “Parents will leave with strategies they can use immediately at home and school.”
