Posted on 12/05/2025
STEM Open HouseThe Newton College & Career Academy STEM Institute (NCCASI) will host an Open House on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Newton College and Career Academy (NCCA) for current 8th grade students and parents interested in the program.

NCCASI recruits rising freshmen with a strong interest in engineering or biotechnology as potential career pathways. While students represent the diverse population of Newton County, they share a common drive for academic achievement and a commitment to preparing for professional and leadership opportunities. NCCASI students will achieve this through exposure to a unique advanced curriculum combined with project-based/problem-based learning, FLEX days, and research projects.

NCCASI will begin accepting applications for the 2026-2027 academic year on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 through Saturday, January 10, 2026. The application link will be posted on the STEM Institute website on Wednesday, December 10. Additional information about the NCCASI admissions process can be found on our website, ncca-stem.newtoncountyschools.org.

“NCCA STEM is different because of the support our associates receive and the culture of higher standards we’ve built together,” said Mr. Ryan Allred, STEM Institute Program Director. “Our associates are surrounded by peers and educators who challenge them to innovate, collaborate, and lead in ways that prepare them for success beyond our building.”
