Newton County Schools Encourages Families to Complete Title I Parent and Family Engagement Survey by April 24

Newton County Schools (NCS) is encouraging parents and families of students attending Title I schools to complete the district’s annual Parent and Family Engagement Survey before it closes on Friday, April 24.
The survey is designed to gather valuable feedback from families about their experiences with their child’s school, including communication, support, and opportunities for involvement. The information collected will help the district strengthen partnerships with families and ensure Title I schools continue to meet the needs of students and their families.
Parents and guardians of students enrolled in Newton County Schools’ Title I schools are encouraged to participate. Families are asked to complete one survey per student.
“Family voice is a critical part of the work we do in our Title I schools,” said Dr. Ijeoma Johnson, Director of Title I for Newton County Schools. “This survey gives our parents and guardians the opportunity to share their experiences and help us better understand how we can improve communication, strengthen support, and create more meaningful opportunities for engagement. The feedback we receive directly impacts how we plan and serve our students and families moving forward.”
Survey results will be used to guide improvements in family engagement practices, enhance communication efforts, and support the development of programs and services funded through Title I. Additionally, participation helps ensure the district remains in compliance with federal requirements under Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act.
Parent participation is critical to the success of this effort. Feedback gathered through the survey will:
- Ensure family voices are heard
- Help schools make informed decisions based on real parent input
- Directly impact planning for family engagement activities
- Strengthen services and support for students and families
Newton County Schools encourages all eligible families to take a few minutes to complete the survey before the April 24 deadline. Parents may select the appropriate survey link for their child’s school below.
