Newton County Schools will operate on an early release schedule this Friday, September 18, 2026, to provide time for parent-teacher conferences.
Students will be dismissed according to the following schedule:
- Elementary and STEAM Academy students — 11:15 a.m.
- High school students — 12:15 p.m.
- Middle school students — 1:15 p.m.
Lunch will be served at schools prior to dismissal. Students who normally ride a school bus home in the afternoon will be transported to their regular bus stops following early dismissal.
The early release schedule provides families an opportunity to connect with teachers regarding their student’s academic progress, classroom performance, and other areas important to a successful school year.
Parents and guardians should contact their child’s school directly for information regarding parent-teacher conference schedules and procedures.
