As part of Newton County Schools’ ongoing commitment to the safety and security of our students, faculty, and staff, we continue to invest in secure entryways across our campuses. In the next phase of security vestibule enhancements, Alcovy High School and Newton High School will undergo renovations to incorporate new storefront-style entrances. These updated vestibules will allow visitors to be securely held at the front entrance, where school staff will communicate with them through a sliding service window. These upgrades will strengthen existing safety measures, including access control systems, security cameras, and video/intercom access systems already in place at both high schools.
