Newton County Schools will join several neighboring districts in seeking talented, passionate educators at the upcoming Griffin RESA Teacher Recruitment Fair, scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Luella High School in Locust Grove.
Hosted by Griffin RESA, this regional event will bring together representatives from eight South Metro school systems, providing a unique opportunity for certified teachers and aspiring educators to explore career opportunities, connect with district leaders, and learn more about available positions for the 2026–2027 school year.
Newton County Schools’ school administrators will be on-site to meet with candidates interested in joining a district committed to student success, innovation, and community engagement. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the district’s supportive work environment, professional growth opportunities, and commitment to developing high-quality educators.

In addition to meeting with district representatives, attendees can also gather information about the Griffin RESA Teacher Alternative Preparation Program (GaTAPP), which supports individuals seeking alternative pathways into the teaching profession.
