Beginning September 12, 2022, the Newton County School System’s Expert Teachers Bureau will be back and ready to assist students with their studies. The school system has employed a dynamic group of teachers from the district to help students after school and on Saturdays via Zoom. Tutors can support students in the following courses: K-8 English Language Arts and Math; Foundations of Algebra; Algebra I; Algebra I-Advanced; Accelerated Algebra I/Geometry A; Geometry; Accelerated Geometry B/Algebra II; Algebra II; College Readiness Math; Pre-Calculus; Accelerated Pre-Calculus; and AP Calculus AB.
“Students will be able to get additional support from a teacher to understand and master a standard as well as get homework support,” said Benjamin Roundtree, NCSS Chief Academic Officer. “I strongly believe we have to do all we can to make sure students receive the support they need, especially now. The Expert Teachers Bureau is a response to the urgency of now.”
