
The Newton County Board of Education has placed a proposed draft policy, JCDAF: Use of Electronic Devices by Students, on the table for public review and comment.
This draft policy is being considered in accordance with the Distraction-Free Education Act and outlines expectations and procedures for the use of personal electronic devices by students in grades Pre-K through 8 during the school day and at school-sponsored events.
The Board of Education is scheduled to vote on this proposed policy at its February combined meeting.
