The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) of 1965, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) of 2015, requires the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) to collect a consolidated local plan or application from each local educational agency (LEA) in the state receiving federal funds.
Annually, the district invites all stakeholders (students, employees, parents, community members, and local community agencies) to provide input in the development of how supplemental federal funds can support the upcoming year’s Comprehensive Local Education Agency (LEA) Improvement Plan or CLIP for short. The CLIP is broken into parts based on student achievement to include, coherent instruction and career readiness opportunities, effective leadership, professional capacity, parent and family engagement, and supportive learning environments.
Your input is an important part of this CLIP revision process. Please review the FY23 CLIP and share your suggestions for ways we can be more successful in the 2023-2024 school year to address the needs of all students.
