Newton County School System’s After School Academic Program (ASAP) is thrilled to announce its 15th year anniversary celebration. Since 2008, Newton County School System’s ASAP has been a pillar in the community having served more than 16,000 thousand students and families. Our commitment to nurturing the intellectual, creative, and social growth of young minds has earned us a well-deserved reputation for excellence.
We will be celebrating this memorable occasion at Newton County STEAM Academy on October 26th from 3-6 PM and October 28th from 1-4 PM. We invite the media, parents, students, and alumni to join us in commemorating this significant milestone. The event will feature performances by NCSS’s bands, cheer teams, step teams and dance troupes. The event will also feature international motivational speaker, Keith L. Brown, and Bob Mackey, founder of the Shark Tank’s Yono Clip and CEO for Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Georgia/Metro Atlanta.
NCSS After School Director, Deena J. Sams expressed her excitement about this significant milestone, saying, "Our 15th anniversary celebration is a testament to the dedication of our students, families, staff, administrators, district leadership and supporters. We are grateful for the opportunity to have made a positive impact in the lives of so many young individuals over the years.
